Europass is a comprehensive service for users to build their own electronic portfolio and manage their lifelong learning and career. To this end, it makes a series of digital tools, possibilities and documents available to users free of charge in order to improve entrepreneurship, facilitate mobility and promote employability.
One of these documents is the Europass Diploma Supplement for Intermediate and Higher Vocational Education, which are issued and endorsed by educational institutions. They help to ensure that qualifications are more easily understood at the European level so that language is not an obstacle to understanding in another country. In this way, employers and educational institutions abroad will understand what a particular qualification consists of for professional practice.
These Supplements are NOT nominative documents but complement (but do not replace) the original qualification. They contain information on: the learning outcomes, the jobs that can be performed, the skills required, the body issuing the qualification, the duration of the course, the level of the qualification, the legal basis and the framework within the national education system where it is located.
In the case of having studied Artistic and Vocational Education, it is possible to download the corresponding Supplement at this link.
It is possible for the student to request, to the secretariat of his/her school, that the Europass Diploma Supplement be issued on his/her behalf, in accordance with the studies completed.
To do so, the secretariat of the center must complete and sign the "Voluntary Annex" which can be downloaded from this link.
There is also the Europass Diploma Supplement for University studies, also known as the European Diploma Supplement (SET), which IS nominative and complements the original diploma, although it does not replace it.
It is issued by the university itself and endorsed by the Ministry. As part of the Bologna Process, all students graduating from 2005 onwards must be provided with the Diploma Supplement upon successful completion of their Higher Education studies.
