NopaLab: Science, Creativity and Vocational Education.

CIFP Plaiaundi LHII has joined the 6th Dualiza–Orienta Call with the NopalLab project, an initiative that brings Vocational Education and Training (VET) closer to Primary and Secondary students through practical, creative, and immersive experiences.

Coordinated by Joana Pérez de San Román, the project has involved companies, teachers, families, and female STEAM role models, becoming an innovative proposal for career guidance.

Students of different ages took part in workshops using the nopal cactus as the central theme, combining science, technology, and sustainability. The project concluded with a final event where students showcased their creations and learned first-hand about the work of professionals from the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and hospitality sectors.

NopalLab stands out for its positive impact on student motivation, the visibility of VET as a valuable educational pathway, and the promotion of female role models in scientific and technological fields.
