The Educaweb Academic and Professional Guidance Awards ceremony took place on November 28 at the Barcelona Social Hub, both in person and via streaming. These awards, now in their 17th edition, stand out for rewarding the most innovative projects in the field of academic and professional guidance, highlighting its importance as a key tool for improving job placement, combating school dropouts and promoting an inclusive future.
This year, the award-winning projects included initiatives that use ICT to combat school dropouts, promote training and employability in sectors such as renewable energy, hospitality and tourism, and promote self-knowledge through recreational activities. The awards were given to projects from Castilla-La Mancha, Catalonia and Madrid, selected from 63 applications, reflecting a year of high participation and commitment.
Esther Monterrubio, the new general secretary of Vocational Training, made her first public appearance at this event, demonstrating her support and commitment to vocational guidance. During her speech, she spoke with Josep Lluis Segú, director of Educaweb, about the challenges and opportunities in guidance within FP, highlighting the need to continue innovating and adapting to the new demands of the labour market. The Educaweb awards continue to consolidate themselves as a fundamental platform to make the work of guidance counsellors visible and valued.
