Alliance for Vocational Training: Innovation and alliances to continue moving forward

On December 4, the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports organized a new meeting of the Alliance for Vocational Training with the title “Innovation and alliances to continue moving forward”. The event is part of the process of modernization of Vocational Training that the Government of Spain is developing with the help of all the agents involved in the matter.

The event was attended by important public figures, such as Pedro Sánchez, the President of the Government, Pilar Alegría, the Minister of Education, Vocational Training and Sports, and Esther Monterrubio, the new General Secretary of FP, as well as representatives of important companies in the private sector.

Thanks to public-private collaboration, we currently have a Vocational Training System capable of responding to the needs of the productive sector. For this purpose, four FP Hubs have been created in the following fields:

• Aerospace Hub
• Audiovisual Hub
• Green Energy Hub
• Railway Hub

Following the signing of these Hubs, the President of the Government took the floor and stressed the improvements experienced by Vocational Training in recent years (such as the reduction of the gender gap, the reduction in the rate of early school leaving or the increase in job placement), improvements that will continue to grow exponentially in the future.

In order to continue promoting this growth, the Government is committed to guaranteeing equal opportunities, encouraging the involvement of the population in their training and the continued collaboration of the public and private sectors.
